Sutter Health RN II Float Pool Nurse Part Time Night Shift in Antioch, California
The primary role of the staff RN is to coordinate the delivery of care for the patient population they serve from admission through discharge. Included in this delivery of care are all aspects of the physical, psychosocial, safety and educational needs of the patient and their family/support system. This function is performed in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including but not limited to nursing peers, attending physicians and ancillary support services. The staff RN uses the nursing process, medical therapeutics, technology and personal interventions to accomplish this.
FLOAT RNmust also meet the following:
Provides direct care to adult, geriatric, using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation based on the scope of care for the department.
Education, Licensures and Certifications:
Associate's Degree required
Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred
Valid California RN License required
Certification in Specialty preferred
EPIC documentation preferred
Must pass Medication examination
Must pass EKG examination
E xperience Requirements:
Has the experience, expertise, and willingness to be floated to:
Telemetry, ED, OPCU, also free floating Admission Nurse.
One year of basic Medical / Surgical acute care nursing experience or at least six months experience in specialty area required
One year of hospital clinical experience in a healthcare organization within the past three years for RNs.
Skills and Knowledge:
Basic Medical / Surgical nursing skills
Basic competencies in the nursing process and pharmacology
Basic knowledge of adult and geriatric population
Ability to work with all levels of nursing personnel and assist them in a resource capacity
Effective English written and verbal communication skills
