Sutter Health Clinical Laboratory Scientist Short Hour Night Shift in Castro Valley, California

Performs tests on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, and other related duties, following established standards and practices, per divisions of the lab and per shift assigned. Must be able to perform duties in two or more technical areas, such as Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood Bank. If working on PM and Night shift regularly, must be able to perform specific duties in all technical areas as well as performing EKG and phlebotomy.


Bachelor's degree in biology, or chemistry or related science field preferred.


One year of internship in clinical laboratory required.

One year as a generalist preferred.

Licensures and Certifications:

Current CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.

Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to read, speak and write in English.

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Computer skills required. Ability to use and care for all lab equipment.
