Sutter Health Finance Manager, Amador (Full Time) in Jackson, California
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Finance Manager provides primary financial support and input to the Hospital’s Administrative Team to ensure effective financial management of the facility and efficient use of financial resources. This position plans, coordinates, and develops the annual operating and capital budget for Sutter Amador Hospital (SAH). The incumbent will analyze and evaluate operational performance of SAH. He or she will develop, monitor, and revise standard costs, cost allocations and productivity standards for SAH. The Finance Manager will also oversee the processing of physician payments. The incumbent will coordinate special projects related to patient and facility-level costing. This position may also complete projects or manage processes at a regional level if requested .
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Master's Degree preferred.
Seasoned experience as would normally be expected from a minimum of seven to ten years health care experience is required working with a high-degree of independence to support a similar-sized facility.
Experience in providing analytic support and maintaining cost-effective and long-term financial viability of health care operations is critical.
Prior experience demonstrating effective communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills is also required. Prior experience developing and managing staff in the current competitive health care environment is also helpful.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and interpersonal required.
Sound knowledge of personal computer spreadsheet software, graphics software, and on-line accounting software required.
Decision support knowledge/skill preferred.
This position serves a key leadership role in the operations of SAH and, as such, requires that the incumbent engender feelings of trust, credibility, and confidence among superiors, peers and staff from all areas of the operation.
This position requires superior analytical, leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. The incumbent must be innovative and creative in designing, developing, and monitoring financial systems and programs. Requires strong microcomputer modeling skills, ability to query, download, and manipulate financial and statistical information from computer systems. In addition, the position requires an incumbent who employs tact and discretion and is motivated, self-directed, confident and a self-starter.
