* * The Clinical Audiologist evaluates patient auditory status, identifies appropriate aural rehabilitation and management of auditory disorders, and initiates the required services. The incumbent assesses the patient’s needs by obtaining a thorough case history, determines appropriate evaluation techniques, and performs them accordingly.

Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF) is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Based in Modesto, SGMF provides quality medical care, health education and research activities in a five-county area. SGMF's medical staff includes family practitioners, internists and pediatricians, as well as a range of specialist physicians. Services include imaging, nuclear medicine, a health library, health education programs, occupational medicine, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, infertility counseling, and weight management.

  • Experience: *

  • Previous clinical experience in diagnostics and aural rehabilitation of hearing loss with children and adults.

  • Previous experience with 2-channel audiometer, immittance audiometer, probe microphone, and evoked potential unit.

  • Auditory Brainstem Testing-Tympanometry.


  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Audiology required.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-A) to be successfully completed within one year of employment.

  • Audiology license required. Must obtain Audiology license in the State of California prior to start of employment.

  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card required.
