Job Summary:

The Structural Heart Coordinator organizes all services/systems required for a multi-disciplinary team approach to the evaluation, treatment and follow-up of the patient needing heart valve surgery. Examples of procedures included in the workflow are as follows: TAVR (Transcatheter aortic valve replacement), MitraClip, Watchman, etc. The person in this role will facilitate and coordinate all aspects of care from referral, screening, surgery, through discharge from the hospital. The coordinator will work closely with physicians and team members within the organization to meet the needs of the patients and families. As the primary point of contact for all things related to the care of patients with structural heart needs, the structural heart coordinator is the center of the efforts and ensures efficient and effective processes that support safe patient care.

Be flexible to support the planning and development of additional heart care related clinics such as heart failure, cardioMEMS, etc.

Qualifications:

Structural Heart Coordinator

Education:

BS/BSN required

Master preferred

Current CA RN license

BLS required

Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience required

3 - 5 years Heart Specialty or ICU experience strongly required
