Sutter Health Property Manager in San Francisco, California

Works closely with the Operations Manager and Facility Manager to deploy leased building responsibilities. Leads all issues related to the off-site building portfolio across the system. Paramount to this responsibility is properly administrating the lease responsibilities including landlord relations. Works alongside the maintenance staff to prioritize work and to assure the timely maintenance and repair of the physical plant, meeting the needs and maintaining good relationships with the building tenants. Directs the daily activities of the property management, while assuming daily operations of managing a limited portfolio. Property Manager should also have a general knowledge of all building operating systems. Responsible for the development and implementation of policies, procedures and programs that will assure a well-managed, well-maintained building, placing maximum emphasis on positive response to the concerns and needs of the tenants, environmental health and safety, and quality programs, in coordination in conjunction with the SH goals and objectives. Responsible for short and long range financial planning for all properties assigned.


Bachelor's in BS/BA Business Administration, Management required or equivalent education/experience


3-5 years experience with vendor and lease agreements required.

Experience managing and working with multiple vendors. Management; supervision; selection of vendors; negotiations related to vendor contract terms/conditions required.

Experience working with diverse health and administrative professionals at all organizational levels, including frequent interaction with senior executives and key stakeholders.

Skills and Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes

Good understanding of offices machines (printers, copiers, fax, etc) configuration and setup.

Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a general knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, solid interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities and work group facilitation skills.

Interpersonal skills to facilitate moving others in a desired direction with positive outcomes without direct reporting relationship authority

Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and business communications computer software programs, Microsoft Word, Projecto, Excel and/or other real estate asset management software is preferred.

Skills in identifying, researching/ analyzing and creatively resolving problems

Possess working knowledge of local building codes and OSHA regulations.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills to provide support to the various customers of the Sutter Health system.

Handle multiple priorities and have the ability to prioritize workload, formulate workable plans and consistently meet established deadlines.

Excellent customer service, time management and prioritization skills

Leadership and management skills, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and oral), including excellent composition, grammar, vocabulary and spelling as well as a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement.
