Sutter Health Cardiology Technician II-Cardiology/EKG (Part Time, Day) in Berkeley, California
Performs 12 lead EKGs on adults and neonates. Performs cardiac stress testing, Event monitors and 24 hour Holter monitors and scanning
Process billing and reports for all noninvasive testing as necessary
Answers phones and schedules appointments.
Must be proficient at 12 lead and rhythm analysis
Weekend and holiday shifts on a rotational basis.
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience required.
Completion of a cardiology technical program preferred.
College course work in health sciences desirable.
Licensures and Certifications
Basic Life Support Certification - BLS required
Electrocardiogram Certification - EKG preferred
Certified Cardiology Technician - CCT preferred after 2 years experience in cardiology.
Minimum of 6 months experience as Cardiology/EKG Technician I required.
Previous EKG monitor technician experience in critical care or ED preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
Hospital approved EKG arrhythmia course or demonstrated proficiency in EKG arrhythmia analysis.
Able to operate an EKG machine and associated software, Treadmill and Holter monitor
