Sutter Health Clinical Research Specialist/Nurse-Research and Education Institute (REDI) (Full Time, Day/Evening) in Berkeley, California


Under the supervision of the Clinical Research Supervisor and/or Physician, the Clinical Research Specialist/Nurse provides support and assistance for the Research and Education Institute's clinical trials. This individual works with staff in the implementation of all research studies; gathers and transcribes data onto case report forms; maintains regulatory paperwork; preserves investigational product, laboratory supplies and other study related items; maintains data base records and reports as needed.


Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Citi Training. If not present at hire, must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Licensures and Certifications: IATA Certification (lab specimen handling) must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Experience: One year of Clinical Trials and/or research experience required or the equivalent of 5 years of recent clinical experience required. ECG experience preferred.

Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of the design and conduct of Clinical trials with appropriate nursing skills required to perform functions of the position. Working knowledge of Federal, State and local research regulations and guidelines, including knowledge of IRB practices and guidelines required. Basic computer knowledge and proficiency. Excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, are required.
