Sutter Health Lead Clinical Lab Scientist (FT evenings, nights) in Burlingame, California
This Lead CLS (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) is responsible for evaluating and implementing new tests, monitoring CAP survey performance, administer annual competency test, and maintaining quality for all testing procedures for the Hematology section of the Clinical Laboratory. In addition, the Lead CLS will assist the Laboratory Manager and the Medical Laboratory Director to select and evaluate new hematology analyzers and conduct annual test procedure review.
This Lead CLS reports directly to the Laboratory Manager. Direct reports are CLS’s and Laboratory Technician IIIs.
A baccalaureate degree in clinical laboratory or related sciences, with one-year hospital clinical training in an approved program. Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license. At least two years recent working experience in the Hematology section of a clinical laboratory. Must have computer skills and literacy.
Must be available to work at different times of the day or night and weekends, and share in holidays and standby duty.
