At the direction of the Client Services Manager/Leader, this position establishes and maintains a consultative partnership with a business area/ client providing operational functional knowledge supporting the development of new/improved capabilities; translating business requirements to functional requirements, and identifying, defining and developing solutions to application and system problems. This position is responsible for business requirements gathering and analysis including identifying business needs, evaluating potential enhancements, developing and documenting technical solutions to business problems. The Business Analyst works as part of a larger team supporting the service delivery lifecycle to lead the collection and documentation of Business Requirements. They work closely with the business relationship owner, subject matter experts, and the customer to capture the appropriate information to ensure a thorough documentation of requirements supporting all phases of a service lifecycle from Idea/concept through implementation and support. Possesses a considerable to extensive understanding of the business operation and functional area in order to appropriately evaluate and analyze business work flow and recommend alternative approaches in developing process improvement. The business analyst has strong analytic and collaboration skills to act as a liaison between the business and the technical teams who build the solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's BS/BA degree Required Or equivalent education/experience

Relevant work experience as typically acquired in 3 to 5 years

Healthcare experience highly desired

Expertise of presentations, word processing and spreadsheet applications, preferably Microsoft

Solid working experience business analyst standard tools including but not limited to CSI, Lean methodologies, work flow tools, Microsoft Visio, Business Relationship Management and Project Methodology and tools required

Ability to facilitate and/or contribute meetings and lead group discussions for projects

Experience making independent decisions

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Effective presentation skills

Strong organization, prioritization and time-management skills

Ability to effectively analyze issues

Strong interpersonal skills with vendors, co-workers and users

Ability to work independently and with team members on multiple project teams

Multi-task and provide contributions to all levels of the organization
