Sutter Health Quality Assurance Outcomes Coordinator in Crescent City, California


Provides support and leadership in performance improvement, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and risk management to Medical Staff, Administration, Department Managers, hospital staff.

Serves as a resource within Sutter Coast Hospital to the following publicly reported and/or mandated clinical initiatives:

  • Center of Medicare Service (CMS) Core Measures

  • JCAHO Oryx Measures

  • JCAHO Required Reviews

  • Restraint

  • Blood Usage

  • Code Blue

  • Procedural Sedation

  • Leapfrog Safety Initiatives

As a resource, assures appropriate data collection, analysis and reporting of noted measures, and communicates changes in definitions, methodology, and mandatory requirements to regional Quality Management team members.


Education, Licensure and Experience:

  • High School diploma required and Bachelor's degree preferred or combination of equivalent education and experience

  • Licensed Vocation Nurse preferred

  • Certified Coding Specialist preferred

  • Proficient in medical terminology

  • Two years experience in hospital setting preferred

  • Experience in data management in an acute-care health setting

  • Ability to review and abstract data from the medical record

  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office, Midas, PC Database applications, word processing, desktop publishing, and demonstrated skills in database management
