Sutter Health Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Crescent City, CA) (Full Time) in Crescent City, California
Provides direct nursing care for patients of all age/developmental stages in assigned areas using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for managing care of assigned patients and directing activities of ancillary staff. Assesses patients' physiological and psychological needs and strengths in a competent and comprehensive manner. Plans, implements and evaluates patients' care plan. Demonstrates commitment to professional practice including those skills necessary to manage a patient care assignment in a cost justifiable manner. Demonstrates leadership skills through performance of charge nurse functions. All other related duties as assigned.
Current CA RN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, & TNCC. Must have documented experience and knowledge of current techniques used on specific nursing unit. Basic computer skills. Prolonged standing and walking with ability to lift, move and transport patients and related medical equipment and devices. Flexibility to bend, stoop, twist and reach overhead. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills in dealing with patients, families, visitors, co-workers, hospital staff, physicians, volunteers, etc.
