Sutter Health Speech Therapist in Crescent City, California

Description

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed speech-language pathology treatment programs in applicable care setting (hospital, ambulatory, inpatient rehabilitation unit, home health, senior care program). Clinically supervises aides, assistants , students and or clinical fellowship year staff.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

  • Masters OR Doctorate degree required from an accredited Pathology program.

  • Licensed Speech Pathologist (SP-L), would consider a clinical fellowship year applicant.

  • BLS Certificate

  • Drivers License and Automobile insurance are required for this position.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in an inpatient and acute rehab experience is preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Requires critical thinking, complex problem solving, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a demanding environment, balance multiple priorities and take appropriate actions.

  • Computer proficiency in word processing/typing, basic application and hardware functions required for applicable care setting.
