Description

The Business Systems Analyst I work on problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of various factors. This position analyzes and resolves system issues, implements and tests changes and provides documentation.

This position will be familiar with the needs of the customer base operation and be able to analyze the life cycle of all the unit's basic processes to assist in ongoing review of quality assurance and cost effectiveness to the organization. The primary location of this position is the San Francisco Bay Area.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree desired or equivalent relevant education and experience (high school diploma/GED AND 1 + years' experience in IT and Healthcare Information systems with specialized coursework in computer science, management information systems or healthcare) desired

  • Epic proficiency required

  • Epic certification desired OR equivalent relevant education and experience

Experience

  • Experience in healthcare applications as typically acquired in 1 to 2 years

  • Effective analytical, problem and issue resolution experience is preferred

  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation computer programs, preferably Microsoft

  • Software implementation experience using diversified product lines of information systems is preferred

Knowledge

  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards to support business requirements is required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of health care operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of information system applications in the practicing health care environment is desired

  • Demonstrated knowledge of application environments including production, test and interfaces is required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple and integrated systems

  • Thorough understanding of clinical operations, and/or practice management and/or physician revenue cycle, and/or financial software along with understanding the technical environment of product lines for which they are responsible
