Sutter Health Sr. Data Analyst - Bay Area Strategy - (Emeryville) (FT) in Emeryville, California
The Senior Data Analyst has responsibility for developing data driven solutions. Will work with other members of the Bay Area Strategy team, other data analysts, and IT to devise (often for the first time) analyses and create reports to inform decision making and assess progress on strategic initiatives. The Senior Data Analyst effectively applies critical thinking/problem solving, business partnering/relationship development and technical skills to complete his/her work. The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into queries, models and tools to allow for insightful data analysis and forecasting back to the business.
A BS degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other related field is required.
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a healthcare related field may be considered.
Expert knowledge of SQL Server 2012, SQL, SSIS, SSAS (Multi-Dimensional and Tabular), reporting solutions, and Excel
4+ years of experience of SQL query scripting, data analysis and modeling
Experience working in OLAP, Data Warehouse, and ETL environments.
Knowledge of the Epic/Clarity data warehouse, especially modules: Professional Billing, EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient
Understanding of the healthcare industry along with specific knowledge of the ambulatory revenue cycle, the managed care transaction systems and their underlying data structures.
