Sutter Health RN Supervisor in ‘Ewa Beach, Hawaii
The Shift Supervisor, through effective leadership, supervises hospital-wide nursing care provided to patients on a specific shift consistent with the hospital’s philosophy related to quality patient care.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or otherwise qualified for licensure as an RN in the State of Hawaii. Must possess and maintain Hawaii licensure or interim permit to practice as a Registered Nurse. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a medical/surgical or psychiatric facility required
Good understanding of pharmacology, principles of psychiatric and medical/surgical nursing; knowledge of nursing standards of care and practice in psychiatric/mental health.
Ability to initiate and implement all phases of the nursing process; ability to communicate effectively with others. Able to manage complex workloads and patient care.
Physical Requirements: Must meet basic health requirements of Kahi Mohala physical examination including 2-Step TB clearance or chest x-ray. Must obtain and maintain current American Heart Association, Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Hospital approved management of aggressive behavior program.
