Sutter Health Facilities Engineer II- Fremont (FT) in Fremont, California
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various building systems, HVAC, Electrical ,Plumbing, Minor carpentry and drywall.
Coordinate, support and promote safety in the work place, following all known safety regulations, rules and practice.
Inspects facility for adherence to safety rules and regulations, recommends and assists with the development of new safety and maintenance policy and procedure
Performs inventory of supplies and parts required to sustain continued operation of the facility assigned.
Prepares requests for replacement parts and supplies needed for planned and unplanned maintenance or repairs.
Assist with training and development of staff as requested.
Maintain Accurate maintenance records and availability of records for inspections by regulatory agencies and other AHJ.
Completes daily Work Orders as assigned, opens and closes work orders using the CMMS
Performs regular inspections of equipment, systems and facility assigned completes necessary documentation using CMMS or other record keeping systems as appropriate.
Participates in the PAMF Cares program and training sessions
Continuing Education, keeps skill set current in the Healthcare Facilities Maintenance by participating is self study programs, OJT and training made available by recognized groups in the trade such as CSHE &, BOMA.
Maintains professional demeanor at all times during performance of duties and representing the department and PAMF.
Performs other duties as assigned
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Graduate of recognized Facility Engineer Apprentice Program or equivalent training and experience. Four years journey level experience& knowledge in the maintenance and repair of Building Automation Systems, Lighting Control Systems HVAC, and Emergency Power Systems & Life Safety Systems. Must be able to read and interpret building plans and specifications, schematic drawings .Experienced with performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
Customer Service Driven Performance. Licenses and Certifications required: Current Drivers Lic. & Good Driving Record .Universal CFC Lic. Hazardous Materials Handling Training Certificate.
Certificate in HVAC/Refrigeration Service and Repair from a recognized trade school required. MECH or BOMA Building Operators Certification Preferred
