Sutter Health Unit Secretary II (Per-Diem, Day Shift) in Jackson, California

Description

Participates in and support the patient/family care and experience through teamwork, effective communication, customer service skills, clerical skills and maintenance of patient information under the direction of an RN.

Qualifications

Education/ Knowledge, including Licensure/ Certification/ Registration

BLS-HCP( SCP completes Management of Assaultive Behavior).

For SAH Critical Care Dept: Previous employment in a healthcare setting i.e., CNA, Rehab technician, EMT, ED technician required. C.N.A certification preferred.

For SAH Unit Secretary II: Previous employment in a healthcare setting i.e., CNA, Rehab technician, EMT, ED technician required. C.N.A certification preferred. CPR required on hire and lethal arrhythmia/telemetry class required within six months of hire or first available class.

For SAH US II: CPR required on hire and arrythmia/telemetry class required within six months of hire or first available class.

High School Graduate, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus successful completion of medical terminology course is required.

Must have demonstrated knowledge of effective English written and communication skills and basic computer proficiency skills.

Experience

Must have demonstrated proficiency in computer skills.

Skills

Excellent communication skills required. Must have the ability to handle a variety of stressful situations while

remaining calm, professional, flexible, and work independently. Demonstrates the ability to operate basic

office equipment, i.e., fax machine, computer, copier, etc.
