Sutter Health Network Administrator, 1 - VOIP - Valley Voice Operations in Mather, California

Description

Installs network equipment independently and works with Facilities group to prepare environments to house network infrastructure devices. Participates in design of infrastructure with experts from other groups. Provides support of network issues, troubleshooting complex heterogeneous networks and works with multiple teams. Effectively communicates technical solutions/recommendations to various non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

Responsible for assigned day to day repairs, moves, adds and changes, and installs for small voice projects. Participates in the life cycle of the Voice systems and related applications. This position will interface with internal customer to identify their voice services requirements. Responsibilities include programming CUCM telephone devices, systems and related applications. Also identify, isolate and evaluate system issues and coordinate with internal/ external parties responsible for solutions. Provide user training and adheres to the enterprise change management and incident reporting process. Participates in the life cycle of the Voice systems and related applications. Documents and maintains CUCM databases and peripheral applications. Maintains inventory of voice equipment based on pre-established par levels.

Knowledge of programming of the following Cisco Call Manager applications is a plus:

• Call Manager

• Unity

• UCCE

• E911

• Finesse

• ISI Call Accounting

Basic experience and knowledge in the following disciplines:

Relevant work experience as typically acquired in 0 to 2 years.

Network infrastructure to include converged IP networks, WLAN, WAN/MAN, LAN, VPN/Firewall.

TCP/IP and OSI model.

Routing protocol – EiGRP, OSPF, BGP.

FR/ATM, PPP, HDLC, MLPPP and VLAN.

DS3/T3, DS1/T1, FAST E, Gig E, 10 Gig E.

IEEE, TIA/EIA Standards desired.

Basic customer service skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Handle multiple projects.

Work independently.

Effectively communicate in a team environment.
