Under general supervision, incumbents in this classification are responsible for maintaining assigned areas of the hospital in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. Will be required to perform other related work as assigned by Environmental Services Supervisors and/or Manager of Environmental Services.

Enters secure areas and medication storage areas as necessary to complete assigned duties. May be in close proximity to medications when the area is actively staffed. Works in areas not actively staffed only when medications are locked, or in the case of emergency medications, secured with tamper-evident seals.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Six (6) months housekeeping experience.

  • Ability to follow a work schedule which may vary with assignment and do work requiring sustained strenuous physical effort.

  • Ability to read, write, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.

  • Basic computer experience.

  • Must be able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County. If CVR and/or own vehicle used on company business, must possess valid California Driver's license and proof of liability insurance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare facility.

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
