Sutter Health Registered Nurse Manager - Safety and Quality in Modesto, California


The Operations Manager of Quality & Safety assists the Director of Quality & Safety in the activities of planning, organizing, and coordinating the integrated functions of the Quality Management Department.

The incumbent assists in the supervision of the general operations of the Quality Management Department guiding the job performance of the department staff on a day-to-day basis including developing, conducting and reporting program audits; collecting, analyzing, and reporting data; developing and implementing quality improvement efforts; researching best practices and evidence-based practices and participating in program evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must obtain a California RN license within 1 year

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field, or equivalent education and experience

  • Three (3) years progressive leadership or supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of operational characteristics, services and activities of a quality management program

  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision required with demonstrated ability to efficiently manage time

  • Proven ability to plan, develop and evaluate a variety of activities that support the organization's objectives

  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills

  • Extensive experience in Infection Control and/or accreditations/licensure activities

  • Membership in a professional society that enhance quality, patient safety, risk management or technical or management advancement (ACHE)

Preferred Qualification

  • Masters Degree in BA, Healthcare or related field

  • CPHQ and/or CPPS certification
