Summary

Under the direction of the Team Leader, Charge Nurse, or Manager of Department, the Staff Nurse II provides direct care to patients using the nursing process of assessment: planning, implementation and evaluation, so that the physical, psycho-social, safety, rehabilitative and learning needs of patients and their families are addressed. This function is performed in association with nursing peers and co-workers, attending physicians and allied support services. This position is responsible for managing care of assigned patients and directing the activities of the ancillary staff.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred

Current CA RN Lic

BLS/ACLS/PALS

2-3 years ED experience within the last 5 years required

TNCC strongly preferred

NIHSS within 90 days of hire

MAB Training within 6 months of hire
