Sutter Health Anesthesia Technician - Surgical Svcs Per Diem in Oakland, California

The Anesthesia Technician cleans, handles, monitors, and maintains anesthesia equipment. Maintains inventory/stock levels of anesthesia supplies and assists Anesthesiologist and nursing staff when inserting invasive lines.
Education/Experience: High school diploma required or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required.
Skills & Knowledge: Must be familiar with medical terminology relating to operating room. Supply/distribution background. Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, invasive lines, respiratory equipment and OSHA standards/Center for Disease Control. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
