Sutter Health Coordinator-Intake Full Time Day Shift in Oakland, California


Educates, supports and assesses clients referred to the Chemical Dependency Program. Recommends treatment and coordinates admission to treatment for clients.

Principal Accountability:

  • Responds to inquiries regarding to need for chemical dependency treatment from prospective patients, families and both internal and external referral sources.

  • Utilizes criteria to conduct clinical assessments in order to determine level of client functioning, appropriateness of treatment and type of treatment services required.

  • Arranges for admission by coordinating financial, clinical and other pertinent information including insurance verification and treatment authorization.

  • Provide concise, relevant clinical information about clients to treatment team responsible for client care.



  • Master's Degree is required.

  • LCSW or MFT is required.

  • CADAC Certification is preferred.


  • 2 years experience in Chemical Dependency is preferred.
