Sutter Health SMU-Nursing Instructor - Medical-Surgical/Critical Care in Oakland, California

The School of Nursing is in need of a pre-licensure full-time Clinical Nurse Instructor who will teach almost exclusively in a clinical setting, with a multi-specialty area including medical surgical nursing. The CNI is accountable to the course manager responsible for creating a positive learning environment for students in accordance with the educational objectives of the courses and for implementing the policies identified in the course syllabus to ensure the successful achievement of course objectives.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Masters in Nursing or a related field (required)

• Demonstrated current competence in clinical area

• Effective leadership and communication skills

• Past experience in clinical teaching preferred

• Unencumbered RN license or license eligible in California
