Sutter Health Social Worker Per Diem Day/Evening Shift in Oakland, California

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Social Work Services, participates as a member of the treatment team to provide psychosocial assessments, clinical interventions and discharge planning to patients and their families.
Must be graduate of graduate school of social work with Master of Social Work Degree. LCSW is desired. Previous experience in an inpatient/outpatient psychiatric setting required. Experience with managed care required. Specialized and extensive training in Human Growth and Development. Thorough knowledge of physical, cultural, psychosocial needs of patients, but particularly in the area of adult and pediatric age groups. Familiarity with required abuse reporting requirements. Familiarity with requirements of Durable Power of Attorney and Natural Death Act execution. Familiarity with Protective Agency reporting requirements. Familiarity with resources which receive and care for patients. Knowledge of the impact of illness, stress and change on the patient.
