The Stationary Engineer shall, under the direction of the Chief Engineer, or the Assistant Chief Engineer, shall provide maintenance and repair of all hospital equipment; operate plant and auxiliary equipment; repair plant operation equipment; uses electric and gas welding tools and systems; operates machine shop equipment; installs new equipment and repairs existing equipment; performs repairs and maintenance on refrigeration equipment, compressors, pumps and HX units; and operates pick-up truck for transporting equipment and supplies to campuses.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent required. Actual job experience in journeyman standing required. EPA CFC License required. Active CA driver's license required.

Principal Accountabilities:

Maintenance of all hospital equipment.

Operation of plant and auxiliary equipment.

Repair of plant operation equipment.

Use of welding tools, electrical or gas.

Use of machine shop equipment.

Installation of new equipment and repair of existing equipment.

Repair and maintenance of refrigeration equipment.

Repair and maintenance of compressors, pumps, and HX units.
