Sutter Health Imaging Services Representative I-Diagnostic Imaging-Palo Alto in Palo Alto, California
Working with and under the direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Services Manager/Director to provide complete communication, scheduling, and imaging management for the purpose of delivering quality healthcare to our patients.
Greets patients for Imaging Services
Uses Radiology Information System to register, schedule and track patient's information
Receives and confirms radiographic requests
Provides productivity and teamwork to the department
Performs clerical functions as needed, including use and maintenance of a fax, copy machine or printer.
Recognizes emergency situations that require immediate attention in a timely, accurate and efficient manner per department policy
Follows the commitment to excellence and treats patients, families, visitors and each other with courtesy, dignity, respect and professionalism.
REQUIRED: high school diploma or equivalent; flexibility; the ability to type at least 35 WPM; ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
1 year of relevant job experience
Formal training in medical reception through technical shools, junior college or correspondence courses.
Six months experience in a medical facility, preferred.
