Sutter Health Regional Quality Data Coordinator (Part Time-Days) in Roseville, California
Serves as an expert resource within Sutter Health related to the following publicly reported and/or mandated clinical initiatives may include but not limited to the following:
Center of Medicare Service (CMS) Core Measures for stroke
TJC Oryx Measures
CHART (California Hospital Assessment Reporting) Measures
TJC Required Reviews
Leapfrog Safety Initiatives
Data regulations and requirements for stroke certification by the Joint Commission or other certified agency. Get With the Guidelines Stroke Registry.
As an expert resource, assures appropriate data collection, analysis and reporting of noted measures, and communicates changes in definitions, methodology, and mandatory requirements to regional Quality Management and/or stroke team members.
- Associates degree in a related health care field is required or demonstrated related experience.
Licensures & Certifications :
Accredited Record Technician (ART) is preferred.
Certified Coding Specialist (CSS) is preferred.
Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) is preferred.
At least 6 months experience in the following is required:
In some affiliates, may require significant experience in data management in an acute care health setting.
Must be proficient in database creation maintenance and report writing.
May need experience in computer science is required.
Must have the ability to interface clinical interpretation with technical capabilities.
Ability to review and abstract data from medical records.
May be required to have the ability to work with: Microsoft office, Midas, Word Processing, PC Focus, Med Series 4, Quality Edge, Soft Med, PC database applications, desktop publishing and demonstrated database management is required.
May be required to be proficient in data abstraction and reporting.
Skills & Knowledge
May be required to have knowledge of database management and application and use of automated systems
Some affiliates may require experience with PC-based systems including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PC Focus is required.
Knowledge of health care systems is required.
Knowledge of medical terminology, data abstraction principles and guidelines, and may require statistical methodologies in certain affiliates.
Basic math and clerical skills including word processing and effective communication (oral and written).
Regulations regarding confidentiality and release of medical information and maintenance of effective work flow systems.
Must have the ability to organize multiple projects, bridge clinical management concepts with technical/systems capabilities and produce professional, interpretable, accountable reports.
Must be self-directed and work independently to prioritize work activities.
Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional manner is required.
Database management, medical record review for data abstraction.
