Sutter Health Analyst, All Source in Sacramento, California


The All Source Analyst will be working with multiple Directors of Protective Service (Bay, Valley, System, Support, Integration) in coordination with the Chief Protective Services Officer to safeguard people, property, assets, and interests. The Analyst will contribute to compliance with federal and state security and risk regulations including Joint Commission, CMS, and HIPAA; other state laws related to workplace violence prevention and healthcare security; and the organization's protective services-related policies and procedures. The All Source Analyst plays a vital role in the initiative to build a unified and capable protective services program. The analyst will assists in the day-to-day management of the protective services incident reporting process, will execute a daily collection plan, will monitor tracking and quality control tools, conduct analysis and prepare executive reports. The Protective Services Analyst will analyze criminal activity to identify patterns and trends to assist in both investigative and preventive measures; scan the environment to identify potential threats and risks to Sutter Health; and analyze trending of key performance indicators to identify most wanted improvements and supporting actions to mitigate risks, improve operations, focus training efforts, allocate appropriate resources, or modify policies & procedures.



Bachelor’s Degree in Intelligence Analysis, Crime Analysis, or closely related field or equivalent education/experience required.

Master’s Degree in Intelligence Analysis, Crime Analysis, or closely related field equivalent education/experience required.


0-2 years strong internship or work experience with demonstrated excellence in producing exceptional analytic products required.

3-5 years’ experience with demonstrated excellence in producing exceptional analytic products in the area of crime, intelligence, or operations with the demonstrated ability to transfer skills to multiple functional areas preferred.

Experience in healthcare with knowledge of existing and emerging risk factors and mitigating strategies preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

Demonstrated ability to maintain clear documentation of investigations & corrective action plans that is clear, accurate, complete & easily understandable to auditors, regulators & others, as appropriate.

Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Demonstrated ability to set priorities and to respond to changing demands from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment

Ability to follow through, meet deadlines, anticipate requirements and build relationships.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills.

Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Project management experience.

Database management experience.

Demonstrated comfort level w/ internal systems or demonstrated ability to learn new systems preferred.

Excellent time management & organizational skills preferred.

1 year + of experience with a BI Visualization tool such as Tableau, Microstrategy, Tibco, etc.

Knowledge of PC, relevant applications, analytical & statistical skills.
