Sutter Health Manager, Strategy and Business Development in Sacramento, California

Description

The Manager, Strategy and Business Development is responsible for strategy development and implementation as well as new start-up opportunities and business planning. The position manages, when applicable, due diligence, integration, and financial analytics efforts within the division. In addition, the position collaboratively develops strategic priorities and growth initiatives to achieve division and system goals and performance targets.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Services or related healthcare field required

Master's Degree in Business, Health Services or related healthcare field preferred

Driver License, Valid and in State required upon hire

Experience

• 6-9 years Minimum of five years of experience with a Master's degree or ten-plus years of experience without a Master's degree in strategic planning with the ability to align planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes into an actionable strategy required

• 3-5 years Prior healthcare experience is required

• 6-9 years Demonstrable success developing excellent working relationships with co-workers and external stakeholders required

• 6-9 years Sound financial management and business planning experience required

• Proven ability to achieve goals required

Skills and Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of financial reporting and analysis

• Must have the demonstrated knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to tactfully direct the efforts of diverse health professionals

• Diverse knowledge of healthcare trends, industry direction, regulatory compliance, competitive intelligence, and market research

• Must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to influence others to move in a common/ desired direction without a direct line of authority

• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others including management, senior management and governing bodies, physician partnerships, and other owners - - must have Board/ partnership level interpersonal and presentation skills

• Must have strong problem identification, analytical, resolution skills

• Adaptability to work with a large corporate environment

• Must be a flexible, creative individual who is open to change and able to work effectively with rapidly changing priorities

• Capacity to meet tight, and often conflicting, timelines and handle multiple sites and projects simultaneously

• Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills required

• Exhibit strong analytic skills to resolve complex issues, drive through obstacles, develop optimal growth opportunities, and deliver effective business solutions to meet goals

• Problem identification and resolution capabilities

• Requires effective computer skills
