Sutter Health Non-Invasive Cardiology Technician (Full-time, Days) in Sacramento, California
The Non-Invasive Cardiology Technician performs 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECG), rhythm strips, stress testing (treadmills), 24-hour Holter Monitor hook-ups and disconnects, and SAECG's for adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients, in order to provide clinical diagnostic information to the physician for the purpose of aiding in diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of patients with acquired and congenital cardiac disease.
High School diploma is required. College course work in the sciences is highly desirable. Certification in performing 12-lead EKG's is required. Current CPR certification is required.
Acute care experience in a Non-Invasive Cardiology department is required. Experience with pediatric patients is desirable. Experience in cardiac monitoring is desirable.
The ideal candidate will possess a certificate of completion of an accredited EKG interpretation and telemetry course, and medical terminology.
The Non-Invasive Cardiology Technician must be comfortable with a wide variety of EKG equipment, treadmills, and computers. Required computer skills include demonstrated proficiency in window's based programs, and must demonstrate resourcefulness in troubleshooting and problem-solving instrumentation. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to flex and adapt to rapidly changing, and demanding situations. Must be adaptable to a flexible work schedule.
