Sutter Health Project Manager, Employer Relations and Outreach in Sacramento, California

The Project Manager works with management, staff and clinicians from across Sutter Health as a key driver of system wide employer strategic priorities. The main focus is to support the evaluation, planning and development of initiatives designed to achieve Sutter Health's goal of developing relationships with key employers. Provides project management and staff support is essential to implement large scale partnership efforts throughout Sutter Health. This is a highly visible role within Sutter's larger Product Services Dept. and the broader organization.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Business, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or Organizational Development or a related field plus experience in project management required

Master's Business Administration (MBA), Hospital Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH) or related field preferred

Licensure/Certification

Driver License, Valid and in State - DL NUMBER required

Experience

6-9 years significant healthcare experience applicable to specific content areas. required

3-5 years experience in project management, development and facilitation of planning sessions with executives, physicians directors/trustees, management and consultants required

3-5 years experience implementing large-scale/ complex/ political change initiatives with demonstrated leadership in business planning, financial planning and analysis and program development required

3-5 years experience engaging and working in a team environment required

Skills and Knowledge

Demonstrated ability in leading or facilitating teams required.

Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, presentation and project management applications required, preferably the Microsoft Suite.

Conceptual, analytical and negotiation skills are necessary, along with strong skills in solving complex problems and developing actionable recommendations.

Requires exceptional verbal/ written communications and presentation skills to achieve desired outcomes. Tact and diplomacy required.

Ability to gain cooperation and support through effective use of influence and persuasion required.

Must demonstrate a strong customer service focus in all decisions and actions.

Must be detail oriented, self directed, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to maintain an organized approach, clarity of purpose, and goal orientation in a rapidly changing environment involving multiple stakeholders of various levels from throughout the organization.

Must possess strong action planning skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Requires the ability to effectively oversee multiple projects simultaneously as well as manage large and diverse teams to deliver results within specified timeframes.

Must have effective operational thinking and expertise with either: the ability to analyze and understand healthcare operations quickly to become a trusted advisor or demonstrate in depth knowledge of healthcare operations based on past experience.

Must be results driven in order to drive quantifiable results throughout SH.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively gain trust and respect from senior leaders is required.

Must demonstrate ability to cultivate a strong network within Sutter Health to gain support from leaders towards achieving organizational goals.

Requires strong meeting facilitation skills.
