Sutter Health Valley Area Manager, Clinical Pharmacy in Sacramento, California
Collaborate with Pharmacy Directors and hospital leadership by helping to manage and lead pharmacy staff in the evaluation, design, implementation and support of clinical, quality and regulatory activities throughout all hospitals and areas of pharmacy practice for all facilities in the Valley Area. The incumbent extensively collaborates with medical and organizational leadership to assist the facility specific pharmacy managers and clinical coordinators in the development of clinical pharmacy analytics, policies, clinical protocols, educational material and training programs to improve care. General areas of responsibility in the Valley Area and facility level include but are not limited to the oversight of clinical pharmacy practice in the acute, transitional, and ambulatory care settings. The Area Clinical Pharmacy Manger also serves as Residency Program Director and oversees residency programming and leads the Residency Advisory Committee. Additional Valley Area Pharmacy responsibilities include quality assurance, medication error reduction and safety, medication reconciliation, drug use management and evaluation, adverse drug reaction monitoring and reporting programs as well as drug information resources.
A Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD).
CA R. Ph. Licensure
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy and licensure to practice pharmacy in California.
Demonstrated ability to conduct education and training programs and supervise employees.
The ability to work with individuals on all levels of a multi-hospital system.
Ability to read, write, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
Must be able to travel in and out of Sacramento County, including transcontinental travel.
If Sutter and/or own vehicle used on business, must possess valid California Driver’s License and upon request proof of liability insurance.
Ability to meet physical and environmental requirements as stipulated on the Sutter Employee / Occupational Health Physical, Environmental, & Mental Job Factors form.
Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency Program and/or Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or a related area.
Familiarity with computer-assisted DBMS data evaluation, spreadsheet, word processing, and other PC software related to job activities.
