Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation is a not for profit corporation that exists to provide medical services, research and education. The foundation provides the infrastructure for the delivery of physician services, and contracts with a separate corporation comprised of physicians and other care providers to deliver the clinical services. This multi-specialty foundation will provide a platform from which new physicians can be recruited to continue to provide physician services in a nonprofit, community setting. The Foundation's vision is to create a medical group that will deliver high quality, market competitive medical services.
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and providing ultrasound guidance and assistance during diagnostic procedures.
Graduation from a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required
American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - ARDMS required
Basic Life Support Certification - HealthCare Provider - BLS-HCP required
Skills & Knowledge:
Maintains current level of knowledge in obstetrical ultrasound by reading journal articles, by attending lectures, seminars and conferences.
Completes 30 continuing education units every 3 years to maintain current ARDMS status.
Displays excellent interpersonal skills by interacting compassionately with clients with abnormal ultrasounds.
