Sutter Health Manager, Nursing Resources, Staffing and Supervisors in San Francisco, California


Under the broad direction from the Directorof Emergency Services, the Manager of Nursing Resources is responsible for the development and attainment of the service mission, short- and long-term goals and objectives identified to support Nursing Services.

The Manager is responsible for insuring effective nursing support systems in the areas of staffing, scheduling, after-hours house supervision, bed control, and systems improvement project management.The Manager is responsible for staff supervision, development and implementation of plan(s) for efficient and effective services, managing and monitoring operations within scope of responsibility, quality improvement programs, project management, and sound fiscal management of Nursing Resources.



  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required

  • Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred

  • Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN required


  • Three years experience in management required


  • Knowledge of nursing information system

  • Knowledge of nursing operations and staffing functions/regulatory requirements

  • Demonstrates ability to build a supportive team environment

  • Able to maintain a cooperative and supportive team by establishing strong and service-oriented team

  • Excellent communication skills

  • System conceptualization and implementation skills

  • Flexibility and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Role will need to travel to CPMC Campus Sites depending on need.
