Sutter Health Medical Assistant Scribe- Gastroenterology- Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, California


The MA/Scribe is ancillary support staff dedicated to providing clerical and transcription services, as well as clinical support to the office practice Medical Provider in the clinical or office practice work environment. The scribe will record as directed, in the patient medical record, data and information obtained during the patient encounter with the Medical Provider. In addition, the scribe will perform other duties such as escorting patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for office visits, and performing minor medical procedures.



Education, including Licensure / Certification / Registration

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • MA program completion and/or certification required

  • Current BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers certificate


  • 2+ years experience working as a Medical Assistant

  • Experience with Epic preferred

  • Experience working as a Scribe or transcriptionist preferred
