Sutter Health Physical Therapy Aide - Santa Cruz (40 hrs) in Santa Cruz, California



The Physical Therapy Aide , under direct supervision of a therapist, performs a variety of duties such as monitoring patients and performing modalities. Performs general non-technical and clerical duties.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Escorts patients into treatment areas, monitors patients' exercise programs, under the direct supervision of a therapist.

  • Performs limited modalities that may include hot packs, cold packs, game ready, ultrasound and electrical stimulation, under the direct supervision of a therapist.

  • Facilitates communication between patients and therapists, in an accurate, courteous and timely manner.



Education, including Licensure / Certifcation / Registration

HS diploma or equivalent required

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) required


Prior healthcare experience preferred.
