Sutter Health RN Medical/Surgical -SMSC Santa Cruz (64 hrs eves, nights) in Santa Cruz, California
The Medical/Surgical RN is responsible and accountable for the delivery of care for medical/surgical patients so that the physical, psychosocial, safety and learning needs of the patients and their families are address. Serves as patient advocate.
Plans and provides safe age appropriate patient care based on nursing assessment, diagnosis, patient needs, test results, physician orders and other pertinent information.
Educates patient about plan of care. Performs accurate ongoing assessment of the med/surg patient.
Collaborates with physicians to prioritize treatment and medication, so that care is provided in a timely and safe manner.
Current California License as Registered Nurse.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Two years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
Two years recent experience in an acute hospital.
